Green Personal Care

Here's a website that explains all the chemicals commonly found in personal care products that should be avoided: www.oldworldapothecary.com/articlesyntheticingredients.html. This list covers parabens, sodium lauryl sulfate, petroleum derivatives, petroleum and mineral oils, urea, DEA, MEA, TEA, BHA, BHT, phthalates, and synthetic colors and fragrances.

A note about deoderant: avoid the ones that contain aluminum, which irritates the skin, causing inflammation, which may then spread.

Locally, you should check out Alburtis Soapworks http://www.alburtissoapworks.com/.
